Rediscover Joyful Eating
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

QUICK QUESTION (THAT MIGHT NOT HAVE THE ANSWER YOU EXPECT…)
You've been told over and over again that the way to lose weight is through restriction ― whether it's limiting calories, tracking points, avoiding carbs, or taking expensive appetite-suppressing weight loss drugs with some rather unpleasant side effects.
And every time the diet or weight loss program hasn't worked, you blame yourself.
"What's wrong with me? Why can't I stay on track?"
That's exactly what the diet and weight loss industries want you to think, as opposed to "Why is this approach unsustainable?"
The success rate of customers using the products offered by the diet and weight loss industry is only around 5%. Their programs are inherently flawed.
Seriously, can you imagine if airlines successfully landed only 5% of their planes and then blamed the passengers? Of course not!
To make matters worse, the diet culture we're immersed wants you to believe that your self-worth is dependent on the size and shape of our body, and the marketers for the dieting industry take full advantage of this belief that "you're not good enough" unless you lose the weight and shrink your body.
So you tell yourself, "When I lose the weight, then I'll be happy... then I'll be able to feel good about myself and my body."
It's no wonder you want so desperately to shed unwanted fat as fast as you can and struggle to resist the intoxicating pull of comfort and certainty of short-term results from highly regimented programs.
But endless diets and disparaging your body and yourself aren't the answer.
The key to lasting weight loss is coming from a place of self-love and focusing on self-care habits. And the best part? You get to rediscover joyful eating!

The key to lasting weight loss is coming from a place of self-love and nourishing yourself with self-care habits.
In Thoughts Are Habits Too, former health club owner and nutrition coach, Amy Lang, shares a self-care framework that makes lasting weight loss easy and inevitable.
It's called Joyful Eating, and it's based on something you already have.
Because the right self-care habits, with some patience and practice, make what's truly important for the health of your brain and body happen automatically.

. . . and much more!
Thoughts Are Habits Too is now available on Audible, narrated by yours truly.
I'm a master certified health and nutrition coach, host of Happy & Healthy with Amy Podcast, and founder of Moxie Club.
I've helped thousands of women master their triggers so they can stop emotional eating, heal their relationship with food, and create healthy habits that stick.
Looking back, my weight loss and body image struggles started when I was about 14 years old.
When this picture was taken, I actually thought my waistline was too big.
Like you, I've felt the frustration of watching the number on the scale ratchet upwards, the hope when it moved downwards, and the defeat when it drifted upwards - over and over again.
As soon as I learned that how I was approaching weight loss was actually making things worse and how to free myself from diet culture, self-care finally made sense, and lasting weight loss became easy and inevitable.
But It literally took me years to figure out how to do this... to lose weight so I was taking care of my physical health, without harming my mental and emotional health.
That's why I wrote this book ― to save you the time, energy and heartache so you, too, can get off the weight loss struggle bus.
